Delete your Maddy account

Maddy is published by Reck the Fort LLC. This page explains how to delete your Maddy account and what happens to your data.

Pay for Maddy? Cancel the subscription first

Deleting your account does not stop a subscription. Apple or Google keeps billing until you cancel it with them, so cancel before you delete.

iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Maddy, then Cancel Subscription.
Android: open the Play Store, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Maddy, then Cancel subscription. Or go to play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.

Delete from inside the app

Open the Maddy app.
Go to Settings.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Type delete to confirm. Your account and data are deleted right away.

Only the account holder can delete the account. Caregivers and other circle members cannot delete it for you.

Can't open the app?

Email support@mymaddy.app from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account," and we will delete it for you.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes the data tied to it, including:

Your profile (name, emoji, email address)
Your daily check-ins and their history
Your tasks and completion history
Your rewards and earnings records
Photos and voice notes you added
Messages and notes within your circle

If you are a caregiver and anyone else is still in your circle, the circle's things, earnings and photos stay for them. If you are the only one left, the circle and everything in it is deleted with you.

What is kept, and for how long

Nothing personal is kept for our use. Your data is removed from our active systems immediately when you confirm the deletion. Residual copies in our encrypted backups are purged within 30 days.

Records that a payment provider (Apple or Google) is legally required to keep for their own billing and tax purposes are held in their systems under their policies, not ours.
